SYSdev Program Development Software

The SYSdev program development software is used to develop programs for the M4500 (as well as the previous S3000 and M4000 product lines). The SYSdev language allows the PLC section of the M4500 to be programmed in a combination of Ladder, High-level ("C"), and Assembly. It also allows for performing timing channel set-point programming for the PLS section. SYSdev is available in both DOS and Windows versions (32-bit operating systems only).

SYSdev allows the user to perform the following program development steps:

  • Off-line user program creation/editing
  • Documentation entry (variable names, inter-program comments, etc)
  • Print user programs (user program print-out, cross-reference, variable overlap map, memory map, etc)
  • Program compilation and assembly
  • Program download to module
  • On-line monitoring
  • Timing channel set-point programming for PLS section
  • Complete support of the M4500 program structure

System Requirements (DOS)

The DOS version will run on a personnel computer with the following mimum system requirements:

  • DOS 3.1 or greater
  • 512K or more RAM
  • Hard drive with 2 Megabytes (MB) available
  • One 3.5" diskette drive
  • One RS-232 Serial COM port

Note that the DOS version will run as a window on Windows95/98/2000 oerating systems.

System Requirements (Windows)

The Windows version will run on a personnel computer with the following mimum system requirements:

  • Windows 95/98/2000 or XP
  • Intel 486/66 or Pentium processor
  • 16 Megabytes (MB) or more RAM
  • Hard drive with 15 Megagytes (MB) available
  • One RS-232 Serial COM port
