Light
Testers
The
following packages are available for light testers. For price and
availability, please contact
us.
HSL-LTA:
Alcoa Light Tester Pneumatic Reject Control (aluminum can)
HSL-LTS: Alcoa Light Tester Pneumatic Reject Control
(steel can)
HSL-RT6-M45: Reynolds (APM) RT-5/RT-6 Light
Tester High Speed Control Package

HSL-LTA:
Alcoa Light Tester Pneumatic Reject Control (aluminum can)
|
|
|
- Replaces
existing odd/even mechanical reject mechanism with a reject blow-off
solenoid mounted in the tester discharge track-work.
- Increases
Production - By eliminating the mechanical reject, and thus the
limitations of speed imposed by the response time of the mechanical
reject mechanism, significant increases in speed can be achieved.
- Reduced
Downtime - Eliminating the mechanical reject eliminates can jams
caused by intermittent or poorly operating reject mechanisms thus
reducing scrap and downtime to clear can jams in the machine.
- Reduced
Maintenance - Removing the mechanical reject eliminates maintenance
issues relating to mechanisms such as worn or sticking actuators,
worn air cylinders, etc. Cost of maintaining and time involved
in trouble-shooting these mechanical issues is eliminated as well.
- HSL-LTA
is designed to reject aluminum cans out of the tester discharge
conveying (air-tunnel, gravity track, etc).

HSL-LTS:
Alcoa Light Tester Pneumatic Reject Control (steel can)
|
|
|
- Replaces
existing odd/even mechanical reject mechanism with a reject blow-off
solenoid mounted in the tester discharge magnetic conveyor.
- HSL-LTS
is designed to reject steel cans off a user supplied magnetic
discharge conveyor.

HSL-RT6-M45:
Reynolds (APM) RT-5/RT-6 Light Tester High Speed Control Package
|
|
|
- Reduces
scrap - Gated photomultiplier tube eliminates tube saturation
problems which in turn eliminates excess good can rejection following
a gross leaker or when the machine is run empty.
- Increased
reliability - Gated photomultiplier tube provides dramatic increase
in photomultiplier tube life (typical tube life is 1 to 2 years).
- Improved
quality - with increased sensitivity control, the package allows
a greater insight into the can making process. Miss-alignment
in bodymaker tooling, resulting in thin wall split flanges, can
be determined by excess split flange rejects from that bodymaker.
Necker/Flanger tooling problems can also be detected from the
cans rejected.
- Interfaces
directly with Odd/Even reject solenoids to reject defective cans
at speeds up to 3,000 Can Per Minute.
- Auto
Gain calibration feature simplifies system calibration and sensitivity
adjustment.
