The S3000, M4000, and D4110 product lines are predecessors to the M4500 high performance PLC. These lines consist of the following:
The S3000, M4000, and D4110 product lines are predecessors to the M4500 high performance PLC. These lines consist of the following:
The S3000 was the original PLC platform developed by Systems Electronics Group in 1985. This system is configured in a classic rack/chassis configuration with a motherboard in which the power supply, processor board and a wide variety of I/O boards can be installed. The chassis can house up to 16 I/O boards including AC and DC digital I/O, analog I/O, intelligent I/O boards, a PLS/Resolver interface board, as well as communications board. The S3000 is compatible with the M4500 via the S3000 network.
The S3000 product line consists of the following:
The M4000 is a series of PLC and PLS modules which incorporate many of the features of the S3000 but in a smaller packaging format. Applications for the M4000 include: high performance, low I/O count machine control; high speed front ends for large I/O count PLC systems; distributed control systems; high performance machine timing; etc.
The M4000 are packaged in an 8" X 4.5" X 5.5" module pre-configured in the following modules:
The D4110 combines the I/O and PLC processor of the M4010 module with a built-in 24 key (3-rows by 8-column) keypad and a 2-line by 40-character vacuum fluorescent display. In addition to the 16 10-30VDC Inputs and 16 10-30VDC Outputs, the D4110 also incorporates two 10-30VDC interrupt inputs, a real time clock, and an additional RS-232/RS-422 user's port. The D4110 is packaged in a door mountable 11" X 6.75" X 3.25" module.
